How quick can I make a Will with a solicitor? Often clients think it is a long and drawn out process.
Whilst it isn’t always as straight forward, we worked with a client last week that highlighted how quick and easy it can be.
Initial contact was made with the prospective client at 4.30pm on Thursday, with the client summarising by email what they wanted to do.
We replied, providing details of our fees for two basic Wills, which the client approved.
Over the weekend, we opened a new file and prepared a Client Care Letter that was emailed to the client for e-signature. The Client e-signed that same day.
We drafted the Wills, emailing them to the client to review, along with a Commentary that summarised the main clauses of the Wills. We also provided a link for the client to book an appointment at our office to supervise them signing the Wills.
The client booked a meeting that Monday, during which we reviewed the Wills to make sure the client understood everything, then acted as witness as the client signed. The client paid our invoice whilst at our office and on Tuesday at 9am we emailed them a copy of the documents for their records.
